After spending the spring and summer of 2019 playing shows in support of their first EP, the band had planned on entering the studio in early fall. Instead, as opportunities for more shows continued to come about, they pushed the start of recording into late fall and even celebrated the New Year of 2020 with a show in the first week of January. In hindsight, these extra shows turned out to be a blessing in disguise. When the lock down occurred in March, no one dreamed that live music would be put on an indefinite hold, so the additional shows held extra special memories. When recording resumed a few months later it was in a different world full of masks, hand sanitizers and social distancing. The pace of the project slowed and without live shows ahead there was more time to devote to the process. Production continued throughout 2020 and wrapped at years end. 2022 brings new hope and new excitement for the return of all the things we miss and time with the people we love. We’re ready to move on, break free and go faster.
